Volleyball team enters third game of the week 5-3
The Lady Falcons took down Warner Southern College on Tuesday, September 2
in Lake Wales, Fla. in three games, 25-22, 26-24, 25-23. Junior Marissa Paulin
had nine digs and three players led the team with four kills: senior Kelsie
Foreman and sophomores Kelyn Gregory and Josie Ratliff. Their next opponent
was Southeastern University, who had two NCCAA first team All-Americans last
year. Southeastern entered the game with a record of 2-1, however FC took them
out in three games, after losing the first. “We started off slow but once the
second game got under way the fans picked up the intensity and really helped us
pick up our game. We were able to bring it all together and beat them in four
games,” said freshman Jessica Caster. Head coach Donna Parimore was satisfied
with the team’s performance. “Even though we came into the game with a record
4-3, I felt like this was our first quality win. The fire was back in the
girls,” said Parimore.
